Open until August 8 – Museo de Arte Moderno
The exhibition “vacant property” by Carlos Garaicoa continues to amaze visitors to the MAMM. The fine look of the city, sensitivity to it, and careful reflection that the artist makes urban life, his work has made a fundamental reference in plastic art and architecture. Garaicoa’s work, presented at major international events, joined the flag “Mundus Novus – Latin American Contemporary Art”, dedicated to Latin American countries at the last Venice Biennale (2009).

“Vacant property”In the words of its curator Oscar Roldan
“… Plays dialectically with those unfinished architectural structures, seized, confined, stigmatized, neglected and even erased from collective memory, even irrefutable evidence of their actual presence in the spaces of everyday life. It is a profound reflection on places that carry with them stories of social dramas. This exhibition also opened a reflection on the review Medellin charming and poetic way our immediate past, related to the scourge of violence orchestrated by drug traffickers. ”
