The Department of Culture of the Municipality of Milan at Palazzo Reale presents:  Salvador Dali. The dream approaches
The exhibition is made possible thanks to the extraordinary cooperation of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation in Figueres and the use of important loans from national and international museums such as the Foundation itself, the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, the Museum Boijmans Rotterdam ‘sAnimation reserch Library of Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank, California, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the Mart in Rovereto and the Vatican Museums.

The exhibition, sponsored by the City of Milan – Culture and produced by the Royal Palace with 24 HOURS Culture – 24 ORE Group, has over 50 works of genius of Salvador Dali which explore in depth the relationship between landscape, dream and desire.  The exhibition will be curated by architect Oscar Tusquets Blancafriend and collaborator of Salvador Dalí.

For the first time the hall of Mae West will be set within the exhibition as it was designed by Dali himself. “Salvador Dali. The dream is approaching ” uses a scientific committee composed of outstanding scholars of the highest international level: Montse Aguer, director of the Center for Study Dalí Hank Hines, director of the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, Antonio Paolucci, director of Vatican Museums, Francisco Calvo Serraller, an eminent scholar of modern Spanish, and Robert Storr, curator and critic U.S. Dean of Yale School of Art
