The art show that has established its name by curating cutting-edge contemporary art from around the world proudly returns to Miami for its eleventh year. Cementing its future with an 80,000 square foot pavilion across the street from Art Miami, SCOPE Miami’s high-profile venue is centrally located in the heart of the Wynwood Arts District. Running concurrently with Art Basel Miami, SCOPE’s Midtown Miami home is just steps from The Rubell family collection, Margulies Collection at the Warehouse and Goldman Collection. The fair opens to Press and VIPs on Tuesday, November 29 with the FirstView benefit.

This year’s Miami edition of the fair, November 29-December 4, 2011, will present 80 international galleries upholding SCOPE’s unique tradition of solo and thematic group shows presented alongside museum-quality programming, collector tours, screenings, and special events. The unique SCOPE experience expands this year in partnership with local and international cultural organizations, featuring: film, music, installation and performance. “This season we want to highlight SCOPE’s lead role as creative R+D for a wider audience of taste makers who make art their business,” says SCOPE President & Founder Alexis Hubshman. “Introducing artists, curators, and cutting-edge galleries to new international audiences has made SCOPE the most comprehensive destination for the emerging art world.”

From the 30th November to the 4th December 2011 – The Art Miami Pavilion
Known as Miami’s premiere anchor fair, Art Miami kicks off  the opening day of Art Week — the first week of December when thousands of collectors, dealers, curators, and artists descend upon Miami. World-famous for its stylish gallery-like decor, its extraordinary variety and outstanding quality, Art Miami showcases the best in modern and contemporary art from 100 international art galleries and prominent art institutions.

Art Miami maintains a preeminent position in America’s contemporary art fair market. With a rich history, it is the original and longest-running contemporary art fair in Miami and continues to receive praise for the variety of unparalleled art that it offers. As acclaim for Art Miami grows, the fair continues to attract the participation of affluent collectors and high-quality galleries from all over the world. It is the “can’t miss” event for all serious collectors, curators, museum directors, and interior designers providing an intimate look at some of the most important work at the forefront of the international contemporary art movement.

The fair will commence on November 29, 2011 with Art Miami’s highly anticipated Opening Night Preview Party benefiting The Lotus House Women’s Shelter, a quiet enclave in downtown Miami offering a sanctuary where the minds, bodies and spirits of homeless women and infants most in need are supported and nurtured. Last year, Art Miami attracted 7,200 collectors, curators, artists, connoisseurs, and designers during its Opening Night and 46,000 attendees over a six-day period. As Art Miami continues to attract the participation of affluent collectors and high quality galleries we are expecting to exceed these numbers for 2011.

Art Miami will be held in a state-of-the-art 125,000 square foot pavilion that will feature European style cafes serving delectable cuisine as well as  an exclusive VIP lounge. There will be ample parking available through the use of a new four-story parking garage with 2,000 spots, located directly across the street from the Art Miami Pavilion. Convenient Valet parking is also available.
