From the ninth of September to the 24th of October 2010 – Maison d’Art Bernard Anthonioz,
The selection of photographs that form this retrospective exhibition aims to present an aspect of the work of Willy Ronis (Paris 1910-2009 ) reflecting a deep awareness of the nature of images , despite its involvement in the traditional discourse humanist.
For Willy Ronis , photography was not an end in itself but a means of expressing his own experience of social realities around him . Whether taken in the street, in a factory,  in the wilderness or in private, his photographs represent  a collection of moments over his entire career in photography , the foundation of its own version of reality .
This exhibition , the last one with Willy Ronis collaboration , becomes a posthumous tribute to his memory.
In coproduction with the Jeu de Paume .
